No trip to Thailand could be complete without a stop in Bangkok, which Thai people call Krung Thep, which is just a part of its larger official name. In Bangkok we decided to take a long boat tour of the city, getting to see the new and old. We also visited the famous Wat Arun near the city central as well as Wat Pho, also known as the temple of the reclining Buddha. I also had the chance to go to my first rooftop bar, and eat at some fantastic restaurants.
Overall Bangkok was a fun metropolitan Thai experience, and in many ways reminded me of a more sprawling New York City, with roughly the same population.
